This vintage 1963 Alden Harmony Stratotone came to us with a very bad decoupage design on the top which was removed and re-sprayed in a 3 color sunburst.
The original neck DeArmond pickup sounded great so we pulled a dead match from our parts bin, re-wound to spec well as a bridge pickup with correct gauge of wire and made a great 2 pickup guitar.
The original tuners did not work well so they were replaced with new Kluson style tuners.
A ground wire was added as well as a 3 way rotary switch.
This guitar plays and sounds great with tones of character and resonance from the DeArmond pickups and hollow construction. Under all of the refin was quite a pretty top which is why we decided to spray a sunburst finish.
Neck is nice and straight with minimal relief. No attempts were made to cover up former scratches and patina and the top was finished out only to a degree to match much of the rest of the guitar's patina.
This is a killer resto-mod guitar with excellent playability and amazing sound for a fraction of what higher end Jupiter models typically sell for.
Please inspect photos, listen to the video and ask questions before buying.

Thanks!
